Diego Jaramillo is the Construction Operations Director for NGI Asset Management, overseeing all ground-up development projects. With a lifelong passion for building, Diego is committed to adding value to every relationship and project. He often says, “I grew up on job sites, working with my hands and getting dirty.” His hands-on beginnings fostered a deep desire to monitor progress daily and take on the challenge of staying ahead of schedule and budget.

Since 2017, Diego has led Cardinal Construction & Development under the motto: “Guiding Your Goals, Building Your Vision.” Through this platform, he provides developers with strategic operational expertise, meticulous time management, and cost mitigation strategies, always focused on optimizing returns on investment (ROI).

With 22 years of industry experience, Diego has advanced through every level of construction—from a subcontractor’s lead to a critical role at Turner Construction, one of the world’s largest contractors. Over the years, his journey has taken him from the field to executive leadership, ultimately becoming Vice President of Development and Construction for Turner. Diego brings his comprehensive skill set and experience to NGI, driving its vision forward. He ensures the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects while protecting the interests of NGI and its partners.

Diego holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from SUNY Albany. He lives in Yorktown with his wife and two children and is deeply involved in his community. He serves as the Commissioner of the Yorktown Parks and Recreation Department and Yorktown Youth Wrestling. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Diego raised over $25,000 to assist individuals facing food, clothing, and housing insecurities. Additionally, his brother’s battle with Hodgkin’s lymphoma inspired him to start and lead Turner Construction’s Leukemia and Lymphoma Society marathon team, which raised more than $52,000. His efforts earned him a nomination for the society’s prestigious Man of the Year award, highlighting his dedication to making a meaningful impact professionally and personally.
